Product Description
3M 7866 Gloss White VOID Polyester is a high‑performance tamper‑indicating label material designed for applications where security, durability and traceability are critical. As a 3M‑authorised label converter, we manufacture these labels in any shape or size to meet your exact specification.
This material features a gloss white, top‑coated polyester facestock engineered to provide excellent anchorage for a wide range of inks, including flexographic, UV inkjet and thermal transfer. The facestock is built to withstand harsh environments, offering strong resistance to chemicals, moisture, abrasion and temperature extremes. Operating performance is maintained from –40°C to +150°C, making it suitable for demanding industrial and regulatory applications.
When removal is attempted, the label reveals a clear VOID pattern within the facestock, providing an immediate and irreversible indication of tampering. This makes 3M 7866 ideal for OTC drug packaging closures, automotive and electronics regulatory labels, retail security seals, and asset identification.
The material uses 3M High Strength Acrylic Adhesive 300, a high‑tack, high‑bond adhesive formulated to adhere securely to a wide variety of surfaces—including high‑ and low‑surface‑energy plastics, coated papers, foams and metals. This ensures reliable performance even on challenging substrates.
A white densified kraft liner provides dimensional stability and ensures consistent, accurate die‑cutting, even for small or intricate label shapes. The product is also UL and cUL Recognised (File MH18072)
