Get ready for 2020 with BPA Free Labels

New European legislation which is effective from 2nd January 2020 requires all thermal paper and label materials to be BPA free.  Bisphenol A (BPA) is most commonly used as a colour developer in direct thermal label material and receipt paper and any label products used after this date must comply.

Labfax only uses BPA free direct thermal label materials for the products we manufacture and are able to supply product datasheets with confirmation for compliance.  If you currently use a direct thermal label and are unsure of its chemistry then contact our technical sales team for information on how you can make the transition to a BPA free product.

If you already purchase a Labfax direct thermal label you can download the material .pdf document detailing compliance by clicking here.
