Epson ColorWorks C6500 Colour Label Printer for Matte Labels

The NEW Epson ColorWorks C6000 Label Printer for Matte Labels is the newest release from the Epson ColorWorks range.

The Epson C6500 series colour label printers have become recognised for their high print quality, with some outstanding results on gloss label media. For the increasing range of matte inkjet label materials and the growing variety of colour label applications, Epson has launched the C6500 matte series. Capable of printing the same high-quality colour labels with the benefits of matte labels.

Matte printed labels have their place in product and packaging label printing and stand out in a world of glossy labels. For those seeking a softer, smoother appearance with deeper and richer colours for their product labels, matte labels offer significant visual (brand) and regulatory benefits over gloss.

Speak to any colour label printing guru and they will have you questioning why gloss labels are so popular. In fact, 90% of colour label applications tend to use some form of gloss label.

But matte labels offer another important advantage over gloss, and that’s the longevity and robustness of the print. The matte label materials for inkjet label printers absorb the printed ink in such a way the printed information becomes an indelible part of the label. This indelibility means the matte inkjet labels can also meet global regulatory standards such as GHS and BS5609.

There are two variations of the C6500, both with a 25mm minimum and 112mm maximum print width.  The AE model includes an automatic cutter so labels can be printed and cut between each label ready for use. The PE model includes a built-in peeler function so after printing the label is dispensed from the front of the printer ready for use and the backing is collected on a spool inside the printer.

Also available with the C6500 range is colour-matching functionality with the ICC profile and spot colour-matching tool.

The C6500 also includes a fantastic Epson CoverPlus warranty package which includes everything (even the printhead) and can be upgraded for up to 5 years at the point of sale.
